Sir,

The recent article on concurrent dengue virus and Japanese encephalitis virus infection is very interesting [1]. Indeed, the condition can be possible and this can be either co-infection or co-detection. The condition can be possible only if there are both pathogens carried by the required mosquito vectors. Also, the patients have to be bitten by the mosquito vectors of both diseases. The possibility might be expected. However, to fulfill the whole condition, it might be more difficult than a single infection. An interesting topic to be discussed is the accuracy of the diagnosis of the infection. The cross-reactivity can be expected in classical immunology diagnosis [2].
