Zusammenfassung
Wie bei anderen entzündlich-rheumatischen Erkrankungen haben auch bei der rheumatoiden Arthritis (RA) dramatische therapeutische Fortschritte dafür gesorgt, dass die Therapieziele heute völlig anders geartet sind als noch vor 20 Jahren. War damals Schadensbegrenzung das maximal erreichbare Ziel, so sollte heute der richtig behandelte Patient keinerlei Schäden erleiden und von seiner Krankheit wenig bis gar nichts merken.
