Abstract

Caliroa matsumotonis (Harukawa 1919) (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae), a notorious pest of peach and pear trees in Japan and Korea, is redescribed based on the type material, and the lectotype is designated. Available information on the distribution, host plants, life history, and immature stages of the species is summarized, and comparisons are made with related species.
