Abstract

In this paper, we showed the gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) synthesis using the aqueous leaf extract of Mansoa alliacea. The biofabricated Au NPs were studied using X-ray diffractometer (XRD), UV–Vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray analysis. XRD results confirmed the crystalline nature of Au NPs with face centered cubic structure. TEM images confirmed that the particles are in the range of 20–30 nm. Further, the prepared Au NPs effects were determined by the tail-flick examination, a sensitive drugs model which acts at central nervous system. The thermal threshold’s maximum increase was noticed to be 3.6 times to that of vehicle treated at 2 h after treatments. Au NPs were even capable to inverse the complete Freund’s adjuvant induced thermal hyperalgesia, which is same as detected under physiological situations.
