Abstract

Most of the metal quinolates have broad excitation spectra in the range 385 nm–410 nm and emission spectra in blue–green region, and hence, there is no significant overlap between blue LED emissions which is in the 410–470 nm range. In this paper, we report Pbq2 composite with PVOH that has the excitation peak beyond 450 nm so that there is better overlap between emission spectra of blue LED and the excitation spectra. Therefore, this composite material may be applicable for organic phosphor.
