Records of Mantid Predators (Insecta: Mantodea) in an Eco-Restoration Site of Chennai, India

Abstract

Eco-restoration of Adyar Creek and Estuary (300 acres), renamed Tholkappia Poonga was surveyed for Mantid diversity. Nine species belonging to 5 families were recorded and reported here. A list of plant species harbouring their insect preys is provided.
