Samenvatting

Gammahydroxyboterzuur ofwel GHB bevordert sociale interactie, seksuele gevoelens en dempt angsten, maar heeft een hoge verslavende potentie met veelal ernstige intoxicaties en onthoudingstoestanden (De Jong e.a., 2012). GHB-gebruikers doen een fors beroep op allerlei hulpdiensten en komen geregeld terecht op de intensive care van ziekenhuizen door levensgevaarlijke overdoseringen.
