Samenvatting
Keel- en neusproblematiek vormen een veelvoorkomende reden om de huisarts te bezoeken. Van alle nieuwe klachten waarmee de patiënt de huisarts bezoekt, staat de klacht ‘symptomen/klachten keel’ op nummer 5 (49,6 per 1.000 patiënten per jaar) en ‘acute infectie bovenste luchtwegen’ op nummer 16 (28,6 per 1.000 patiënten per jaar).
In deze bijdrage beschrijven we enkele epidemiologische gegevens over keel- en neusproblematiek in de huisartsenpraktijk met behulp van gegevens uit Family Medicine Network (FaMe-Net), een fusie tussen twee belangrijke historische registratienetwerken, namelijk de Continue Morbiditeitsregistratie (CMR) [1] en het Transitieproject [2]. We gebruiken data uit 1995 tot en met 2014, met gemiddeld 15.000 ingeschreven patiënten per jaar.
