Zusammenfassung

Eine 57-jährige Patientin wurde wegen progredientem Rechtsherzversagen stationär aufgenommen. Im Thoraxröntgenbild fanden sich ausgeprägte perikardiale Verkalkungen. Aufgrund der Klinik, Echokardiographie und Herzkatheteruntersuchung wurde die Diagnose einer Pericarditis constrictiva gestellt. Eine genaue Ursache der Pericarditis constrictiva war nicht zu eruieren. Die Therapie der Wahl ist die Perikardektomie.

Abstract

A 57-year-old female patient was admitted due to progressive right-sided heart failure. Chest X-ray demonstrated extensive pericardial calcification. Echocardiography and cardiac angiography assisted in diagnosing constrictive pericarditis for which pericardiectomy is the treatment of choice. The cause of constrictive pericarditis remained unknown in this case.
