Abstract

In this investigation, the evolution of dust-acoustic (DA) nonlinear structures (solitons, rogons and breathers) has been examined in the Jovian magnetosphere. A five components plasma having positive dust grains, solar wind protons, superthermal electrons, ions as well as solar wind electrons is considered. The Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation has been derived by employing the reductive perturbation method to study solitons. Furthermore, using suitable transformation in the KdV equation, the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (NLSE) has been derived. The localized different solutions of NLSE leading to the formation of rogons, Akhmediev breathers (AB) and Kuznetsov–Ma breathers (KM) have also been studied. The influence of various physical parameters, namely, superthermality of different species (electrons, ions as well as solar wind electrons), temperature ratios and concentration of different species on the salient features of DA solitons, rogons and breathers has been analyzed numerically.
