Conclusion
Several other salient topics were addressed at the meeting, including soil remediation, radioactive waste minimization, and gaseous effluent treatment. The highlight of this meeting from the technical viewpoint was the opportunity awarded to the participants for cross-fertilization of thoughts and ideas. The meeting served its dual purpose of generating a global realization and appreciation for waste and pollution problems and of promoting technologies that can effectively mitigate them.
