Conclusion

Several other salient topics were addressed at the meeting, including soil remediation, radioactive waste minimization, and gaseous effluent treatment. The meeting served its dual purpose of generating a global realization and appreciation for waste and pollution problems and of promoting technologies that can effectively mitigate them.
