Die Therapie von Krebserkrankungen bei Kindern und Jugendlichen hat in den vergangenen 5 Jahrzehnten erhebliche Fortschritte gemacht. Lag die 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate in den 1960er-Jahren nur bei etwa 5–10%, so stieg diese bis heute auf mehr als 75% [7, 20].
