Das Endometriumkarzinom ist in Deutschland mit über 11.000 Neuerkrankungen pro Jahr das vierthäufigste Malignom der Frau. Es hat einen Anteil von 5,1 % an bösartigen Neuerkrankungen der Frau. Der Altersgipfel liegt zwischen 65 und 85 Jahren, mit ansteigender Tendenz angesichts der demographischen Entwicklung wie auch einer Zunahme der Adipositas. Die relative 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate liegt in Deutschland bei ca. 79 % [1].
