Abstract
Proximal femural fractures have increased significantly in recent years. The method of treatment can be different and is still widely debated. The Authors report the current evidence concerning the treatment of these fractures. Over the years, various osteosynthesis devices have been developed but the results were often inconsistent and almost never have demonstrated the superiority of one technique over another.
