Abstract
The present paper provides an overview of the main aspects of collecting Internet-based data. Core characteristics of online questionnaires and online interviews as well as online group discussions are described. We also discuss different procedures of recruiting survey participants online. We end with a general conclusion outlining upcoming trends in online research.

Dr., geb. 1969, studierte Psychologie an der Justus-Liebig Universität Gießen. Nach dem Studium arbeitete er dort als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Arbeits-, Betriebs-und Organisationspsychologie. 1998 wechselte er an den Lehrstuhl für Wirtschafts-und Sozialpsychologie der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg und promovierte dort im Jahr 2001 über „Fragebogenuntersuchungen im Internet“. Im WS 2003/04 vertritt B. Batinic die Professur für Arbeits-und Organisations-psychologie an der Universität Marburg.
