Absract

The manganese content of the surface (river, lake) and subsurface waters of Transbaikalia is determined. The geographical peculiarities of manganese distribution in natural waters are found to be due to different Mn concentrations in drained rocks and soils, as well as to the geochemical redox conditions of migration. The areas with low, medium, and high concentrations of Mn in natural waters and the sources of water in which Mn concentrations exceed MAC are revealed.
