On the Effect of Distributed Load Strips and Linear Concentrated Load on Active Earth Pressure

  • Published:
Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering Aims and scope

An analytical solution is proposed for determining the active earth pressure in the presence of distributed load strips or linear (concentrated) loadss on a free horizontal surface taking account of their effect on the position of the failure plane.
