On the heritage of Professor O. A. Savinov

O. A. Savinov's fundamental role of in the development of methods for analysis and design of foundations under machinery inducing dynamic loads and methods for earthquake-resistant construction is examined. His proposed dynamic models of soil beds and their further development are discussed.
