Inter-Subband Electron-Electron Interactions in Two-Dimensional Electron Gas

We report the results of studies of electron-electron relaxation processes in the system of strongly degenerated 2D-electrons with the fine structure of the energy spectrum and spatial distribution of the electron density. For a heavily doped heterojunction, when two subbands of size quantization are filled, the expressions for the time of the electron-electron intra- and inter-subband interactions are found, the matrix elements of the complete screening potential and polarization function are defined in the approximation far from the long-wavelength limit. It is shown that the oscillations of the temperature and concentration dependences of the electron-electron interaction time are associated with the excitation of plasma oscillations of 2D-electron system components.
