A Time Sampling Method in the Thermal Analysis for Condensed Media

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

A time sampling method is presented for processing the structured data obtained by the thermal analysis of condensed media, which is based on the comparison of the maximum time intervals of the phase transition processes. The method allows simplifying the analysis and processing of the data obtained in a series of experiments and identifying the composition having the longest phase-transition time interval. A Java-based software program is proposed to implement this method, which represents a JavaDesktop-application with an intuitive graphic interface. An export of the calculation results into the text and graphic files is realized. In order to test the realizability of the method, the investigations on melting a series of ice and ice-containing compositions of water solutions of inorganic substances are performed, which provide concrete samples of the compositions exhibiting the best thermal-physical properties for frost accumulation.
