Temperature Variation in the Process of Deformation of Single Crystals of the Ni3Ge Alloy with the [001] and \( \left[\overline{1}39\right] \) Orientations of the Deformation Axis

  • Published:
Russian Physics Journal Aims and scope

Experiments on temperature variation in the process of deformation of single crystals of the Ni3Ge alloy with the [001] and \( \left[\overline{1}39\right] \) orientations of the deformation axis have revealed a linear dependence of the stress jump on the applied stress similar to the dependence observed in pure metals and called the Cottrell–Stokes law. Results obtained for single crystals of both orientations of the deformation axis are compared.
