Russian Chemical Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

Mild one-pot synthesis of 3-pyrazolylenones and 3,3-dipyrazolylpropanones in the yields of 18–33% and 34–57%, respectively, by addition of pyrazoles to α,β-acetylenic aryl(hetaryl) ketones in solid Al2O3 (room temperature, 24 h) was reported. The synthesized functionalized pyrazoles are the promising drug precursors and potential chelating «scorpion-like» ligands for coordination chemistry.
