Russian Chemical Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

A method for the synthesis of new polyfluorinated compounds, viz., 1-epoxyethyl-2-perfluoroalkoxy-2,3,3-trifluorocyclobutanes with a various number of tetrafluoroethylene oxide units (CF2CF2O), has been developed. The structure of the obtained compounds was investigated by 1H, 19F, and 13C NMR spectroscopy in detail. It is found that they exist in the form of cis- and trans-isomers relative to the four-membered cycle.
