An approach for isolation of circulating nucleoprotein complexes from blood

Abstract

An approach for isolation of nucleoprotein complexes circulating in plasma and bound to cell surfaces of blood cells is described. This approach relies on binding of nucleic acids from nucleoprotein complexes with glassmilk. Nucleoprotein complexes isolated by the developed approach may be used for identification of proteins, study of extracellular nucleic acids transport, and search of new proteomic markers for diseases characterized by increased concentrations of circulating nucleic acids in blood.
