Abstract

It was found that the oxidation of fullerene hydride C60H36 with oxygen in solution is accompanied by chemiluminescence (CL). The CL spectrum maxima are assigned to the emission by the oxidation products of C60H36, namely, the excited hydride C60H18* (495, 535 nm) and singlet-excited fullerene 1C60* (720—750 nm).
