Abstract
Three-component condensation of diethyl 2,4,6-trioxoheptanedicarboxylate with salicylaldehyde and ammonium acetate in EtOH affords 2,5-diethoxycarbonyl-5-hydroxy-4-oxo-4,4a, 5,10b-tetrahydro-1H-[1]benzopyrano[4,3-b]pyridine.
