Reaction of γ-benzylideneaminopropanol with dialkyl phosphorochloridites

Abstract

Reactions of dialkyl phosphorochloridites with 3-(N-benzylideneamino)propan-1-ol follow two pathways giving rise to linear dialkyl 1-(3-chloropropylamino)benzylphosphonates and diastereomeric cyclic 2-alkoxy-2-oxo-3-phenyl-1,4,2-oxazaphosphepanes.
