Refractories and Industrial Ceramics Aims and scope

We describe a solution for using the accumulated energy in the raised leading edge of the machine when it is lowered to the ground for maneuvering operations with the support shoes. The parameters of the walking mechanism and energy released when the leading edge of the excavator foot is lowered to the ground are calculated. The amount of energy stored in the pneumohydraulic accumulator is calculated. The calculation results showed that the stored energy in the pneumohydraulic accumulators is sufficient for maneuvering operations with the support shoes, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the walking mechanism and the operating efficiency of the dragline excavator.
