Abstract

The solubility of uranosilicates MIHSiUO6nH2O (MI = Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+, Cs+, NH +4 ) in aqueous solutions at 25°C was studied experimentally. The equilibrium constants of reactions that occur at dissolution of uranosilicates in acidic and neutral solutions were calculated. The composition of the equilibrium solutions was studied. The standard Gibbs energies of formation of the compounds were calculated from the solubility data. The behavior of the uranosilicates under various conditions was predicted on the basis of the previously suggested quantitative physicochemical model of the state of the heterogeneous system crystalline uranosilicate-aqueous solution.
