Correction to: International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy https://doi.org/10.1007/s11096-023-01654-1

In the original publication, the first four sentences were incorrectly published as: Mental health has been valued progressively as a major health problem, to such an extent that currently the World Health Organization no longer talks about the four main non-communicable diseases (NCDs) but the five “biggies”. Mental health in general, and depression in particular, has a major impact on disability. Furthermore, some mental health conditions, such as Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, were ranked as the seventh cause of death in 2019 [1]. Severe mental health disorders may also lead to crime and to suicide, a growing cause for concern, particularly among teenagers and young adults.

The correct sentences are given in this correction as: Mental health has been progressively recognized as a major health issue, to such an extent that currently the World Health Organization no longer talks about the four main non-communicable diseases (NCDs) but the five “biggies”. Mental health in general, and depression in particular, has a major impact on disability. Severe mental health conditions may also lead to suicide, a growing cause for concern, particularly among teenagers and young adults [1].

The word “disorders” is corrected as “conditions” in all the occurrences.
