A rapid, simple, specific, sensitive, and reproducible method for qualitative determination of fenotropil and piracetam in the drug substances, dosage forms, and blood plasma that used an original modification of a mercury-free polarograph with differential voltammetric recording and oscillographic monitoring of the electrochemical process was developed. This method could be used for analysis of drugs (original and generic) in order to identify and detect counterfeit drugs in various dosage forms and for analysis in human biological fluids, e.g., for monitoring doping.
