Clofelin analogs containing difluoromethoxy groups

  • Published:
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Journal Aims and scope

Abstract

A series of 2-(2-chloro-or 2-bromo-6-difluoromethoxyphenylamino)imidazoline hydrochlorides–clofelin analogs containing difluoromethoxy groups–have been synthesized. The introduction of difluoromethoxy groups decreases the toxicity, increases the duration of hypotensive action, and induces a less pronounced decrease in the heart rate in comparison to the action of clofelin.
