Characteristics of mechanical strength of maraging steel N18K9M5T after various variants of heat treatment are studied. The treatment mode providing a structure with retained austenite and two types of reverted austenite is determined. An optimum structure ensuring enough strength at high impact toughness and static and cyclic crack resistances is chosen.
