Metal Science and Heat Treatment Aims and scope

Abstract

Temperature and time dependences of the kinematic viscosity of melts of Al86Ni8La6, Al86Ni8Ce6, Al87Ni8Y5, Al86Ni6Co2Gd4Y2, and Al86Ni6Co2Gd4Tb2 are studied. The effect of the degree of superheating of the melt above the liquidus temperature on the structure of ingots of alloy Al86Ni8La6 obtained at low cooling rates (5 and 100 degrees-min) is determined.
