  1. Another book, by Mario Bunge [12], could be included here. However, it is by a philosopher who, while prolific and well-known, had not previously published in the field and, based on the references in the book, engaged only minimally with the existing literature. Thus, Bunge’s book does not represent the development of philosophy of medicine, but rather presents one outside scholar’s discussion of questions of interest to him.
