Abstract
Quantitative determination of 90Sr in bilberry, a representative matrix for vegetables and fruits, by Cherenkov counting and modified Eichrom methods is presented. The compatibility of the two methods was checked through the measurement of the BIPM supplementary comparison bilberry sample (CCR(II)-S8). The activity concentration of 90Sr in bilberry sample was measured as 153 ± 4 and 152 ± 7 Bq kg−1 by Cherenkov counting and modified Eichrom method, respectively which is in good agreement with the reference value, 153 ± 8 Bq kg−1.
