Synthesis, Structural Characterization, Properties of a Silver Coordination Polymer Based on [1,1′-Biphenyl]-2,4,4′,6-tetracarboxylic Acid (H4BPTC)

Abstract

A new silver coordination polymer [Ag4(BPTC)]n has been synthesized by solvothermal reaction of AgNO3 and H4BPTC. The X-ray crystal structural analysis indicates that 1 is a 2D coordinated framework, which contains argentophilic interactions and Ag–C interactions. The thermal stability and luminescent properties were also investigated. In addition, it was found to be efficient catalyst for the Sonogashira reaction.
