Abstract

A new pyrazoline-based probe was synthesized and the structure was determined by using X-ray diffraction analysis. The probe responds to Cu2+ in aqueous medium in “turn-off” fluorescent manner with selectivity and sensitivity. Furthermore, the probe could be used for real-time tracking of Cu2+ in Hela cells.
