Abstract

Songorine was isolated from the root of Aconitum szechenyianum Gay and its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The compound compactly packs in an orthorhombic unit cell in the P212121 space group with unit cell dimensions a = 9.7733(7) Å, b = 13.4892(9) Å, = 14.8097(10) Å, V = 1952.4(2) Å3 and Z = 4. A series of intricate hydrogen bonds assemble the title compound into a three-dimensional networking structure.

Graphical Abstract

Crystal and molecular structure of songorine was researched, which was isolated and purified from the root of Aconitum szechenyianum Gay.
