Temperature Dependence of the Refractive Index of Glassy Alloys of the As x S100–x System

  • Published:
Journal of Applied Spectroscopy Aims and scope

The temperature coefficient of the refractive index of glassy alloys in the As–S system along the As x S100–x (0 < x < 40) branch is determined in the 1–5 μm spectral interval for temperatures of 77–400 K. It is found that these glasses have negative, zero, and positive values of dn/dT, depending on the composition and wavelength. A single-oscillator model is used to analyze the spectral and temperature dependences of this coefficient.
