We propose a mathematical description of the refined shape of absorption lines in Mössbauer spectra obtained using a resonant detector, taking into account distortions in the lineshape as a result of the influence of factors introduced by the experimental equipment and associated with the properties of the source and detector. We present the results of treatment of the absorption spectra of alpha iron and sodium nitroprusside within the proposed mathematical model.
