Abstract

A KrBr excilamp with a spectrum close to the UV absorption curve for DNA is described. The results from studies of Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Penicillium expansum test biological cultures confirmed a more efficient bactericidal effect of the radiation from the offered lamp compared to the effect of a XeBr excilamp.
