Abstract
Passion can affect university students’ career intentions; however, research about how and through which pathways entrepreneurial passion influences entrepreneurial career intentions is limited. Following work on entrepreneurial passion, entrepreneurial cognition, and the theory of planned behavior present study develop and test a model of entrepreneurial passion, entrepreneurial self-efficacy, entrepreneurial attitude, and entrepreneurial career intentions. Results, based on the analysis of data collected from 409 respondents, showed that entrepreneurial passion positively affect students’ entrepreneurial intentions. Further, results indicate that entrepreneurial passion positively influences entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial attitude, which in turn, shapes entrepreneurial career intentions.

La Passion Provoque-t-elle les Intentions ? Comprendre l'Influence de la Passion Entrepreneuriale sur les Intentions de Carrière Entrepreneuriale des Etudiant·e·s de l'Enseignement Supérieur La passion peut affecter les intentions de carrière des étudiant·e·s universitaires; cependant, la recherche sur la façon et les voies par lesquelles la passion entrepreneuriale influence les intentions de carrière entrepreneuriale est limitée. Suite aux travaux sur la passion entrepreneuriale, la cognition entrepreneuriale et la théorie du comportement planifié, cette étude développe et teste un modèle de passion entrepreneuriale, d'auto-efficacité entrepreneuriale, d'attitude entrepreneuriale et d'intentions de carrière entrepreneuriale. Les résultats, basés sur l'analyse des données recueillies auprès de 409 répondant·e·s, montrent que la passion entrepreneuriale affecte positivement les intentions entrepreneuriales des étudiant·e·s. De plus, les résultats indiquent que la passion entrepreneuriale influence positivement l'auto-efficacité entrepreneuriale et l'attitude entrepreneuriale, qui à leur tour, façonnent les intentions de carrière entrepreneuriale.
Zusammenfassung
Beflügelt Leidenschaft die Intentionen? Zum Verständnis des Einflusses unternehmerischer Leidenschaft auf die unternehmerischen Karriereabsichten von Hochschulstudenten Leidenschaft kann sich auf die Karriereabsichten von Hochschulstudenten auswirken; die Forschung darüber, wie und über welche Wege unternehmerische (entrepreneurial) Leidenschaft die unternehmerischen Karriereabsichten beeinflusst, ist jedoch begrenzt. In Anlehnung an Arbeiten zu unternehmerischer Leidenschaft, unternehmerischer Kognition und der Theorie des geplanten Verhaltens wird in der vorliegenden Studie ein Modell der unternehmerischen Leidenschaft, der unternehmerischen Selbstwirksamkeit, der unternehmerischen Einstellung und der unternehmerischen Karriereabsichten entwickelt und getestet. Die Ergebnisse, die auf der Analyse der von 409 Befragten erhobenen Daten basieren, zeigen, dass unternehmerische Leidenschaft die unternehmerischen Absichten der Studierenden positiv beeinflusst. Darüber hinaus zeigen die Ergebnisse, dass die unternehmerische Leidenschaft die unternehmerische Selbstwirksamkeit und die unternehmerische Einstellung positiv beeinflusst, was wiederum die unternehmerischen Karriereabsichten beeinflusst.

¿La pasión enciende intenciones? Comprender la influencia de la pasión emprendedora en las intenciones profesionales empresariales de los estudiantes de educación superior La pasión puede afectar las intenciones profesionales de los estudiantes universitarios; sin embargo, la investigación sobre cómo y a través de qué caminos la pasión emprendedora influye en las intenciones de la carrera empresarial es limitada. Después del trabajo sobre la pasión emprendedora, la cognición empresarial y la teoría del comportamiento planificado, el presente estudio desarrolla y prueba un modelo de pasión emprendedora, autoeficacia empresarial, actitud empresarial e intenciones de carrera empresarial. Los resultados, basados en el análisis de los datos recopilados de 409 encuestados, mostraron que la pasión emprendedoral afecta positivamente las intenciones empresariales de los estudiantes. Además, los resultados indican que la pasión emprendedora influye positivamente en la autoeficacia empresarial y la actitud empresarial, lo que a su vez, da forma a las intenciones de la carrera empresarial.
