Abstract
We propose a scheme for the generation of a three-ion GHZ-like state in ion-trap systems. In our scheme the ions are simultaneously excited by a laser. Our scheme is insensitive to both the initial vibrational state and heating if the system remains in the Lamb-Dicke regime.
