Experimental and Analytical Investigations of Tsunami Waves Caused by Earthquakes and Landslides

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

The presented article analyzes the differences between tsunami waves caused by earthquakes and those caused by landslides, describes the developed experimental setup that allows modeling tsunami waves of various forms, and presents the results of experimental studies of the form of the waves obtained. In addition to experiments, analytical studies are described and a proposal is presented to expand the procedure for calculating vertical hydraulic structures for loads from seismic tsunamis.
