Determining the Gross Efficiency of a Boiler in Real Time

Atechnique for the continuous automatic determination of the gross efficiency of a boiler from the readings of regular process-control instruments was developed and implemented at a CHPP. The possibility of saving fuel by controlling the efficiency of the boiler in real time is discussed.
