Electric Machine-Valve Complexes Means for Increasing the Reliability and Efficiency of Generation and Consumption of Electric Power

  • Published:
Power Technology and Engineering Aims and scope

Abstract

The basic principles of construction of electric machine-valve complexes are presented. Their effect as a means for raising the efficiency and reliability of generation and consumption of electric power is considered. Results of the development and practical use of a new type of generator, i.e., an asynchronized generator possessing some advantages over conventional synchronous generators and frequency-controlled electric drives and thus ensuring energy savings, are presented. The tasks of the operation of electric machine-valve complexes in the power industry are formulated.
