Abstract

The basic principles are developed for creating an expert system that is intended to solve the problems associated with the multicriteria choice of coatings with desired physicochemical properties taking into account qualitative and quantitative attributes. An approach to systematization and classification of information on coatings is worked out. A package of methods and algorithms that make it possible to evaluate the degree of correspondence between a coating and a set of heterogeneous attributes is proposed. The developed methods are based on the modified normal distribution function of a random variable.
