Issues with experimental and theoretical investigations of the performance of polymeric textile elastomers for implantology that are important for determining the functionality of these materials are examined. A detailed stepwise plan for experimental and theoretical investigations of the performance of polymeric textile elastomers is proposed. The technical characteristics of a representative group of polymers used to prepare textile elastomers for implantology are given.
