Study and design of a system to automatically control the speed of a ring-spinning machine with anticipation (base control and layerwise control)

  • Published:
Fibre Chemistry Aims and scope

Programming the control of the drive of a ring-spinning machine makes it possible to change the machine’s speed regime in accordance with the specific requirements of the spinning operation. The signal from the transducer (absolute encoder) that senses the position of the facing bar is sent to a programmable logic controller, where the signal is reconstructed and sent with an advance to a frequency converter. The use of this scheme makes it possible to control the speed of standard asynchronous motors. Reconstructing the coordinate of the control signal in base regulation and layerwise regulation of the speed of the spindles of ring-spinning machines makes it possible to synchronize spinning speed and the position of the annular facing bar. This in turn makes it possible to increase spinning speed and reduce the incidence of yarn rupture.
